Garlic (Allium sativum)
Garlic is
a really great addition to every meal. Don't be frightened off by
the inescapable odour, its worth it.
Garlic
can stop blood clots forming and even break down ones that have
already materialised. Helping in the fight against heart disease.
To stop the
rather pungent smell of garlic chew a sprig of parsley after eating
it.
The heart
loves Garlic. It has been well researched and documented that Garlic
lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It adjusts the levels
of fats in the blood keeping the ones that don't clog up the arteries.
Garlic in
its raw state is a powerful antibacterial and anti-fungal agent.
People have, in history, used it to rub onto wounds to disinfect
them and stop the onset of Gangrene. - Don’t use it raw though,
it may burn you!
If eaten
in its raw state it can protect and strengthen the digestive tract.
It is also
said to disinfect the lungs and the skin as well as urine.
