Goldenseal
-
Hydrastis Canadensis
Goldenseal is a very small
plant. The root is used after 5 years of growth. It is very
difficult to grow and harvest.
Goldenseal
has powerful antiseptic capabilities and acts as a natural
antibiotic. The herb also has the ability to heal the gut
area.
Goldenseal
compliments Echinacea perfectly and the two provide a formidable
force against the onset of the seasonal cold and Flu.
Unfortunately,
it is a very difficult herb to harvest and has become quite
rare. It is monitored very closely in the United States
where it originates from. This makes the herb costly to
produce.
Other
benefits gained from the Goldenseal herb include the combat
of lung infections and the build up of Catarrhal. This is
congestion caused by the over production of mucus in the
Nasal and Sinus area.
Suggested
uses for Goldenseal include;

for the
Treatment of infections concerning lung congestion,
throat and sinuses,
cold and flu symptoms,
stomach and intestine infections like ulcers, and gastritis.
